What a speechless event today! Debbie and Kelly from Make a Wish pulled off a HUGE suprise for Callie. We had family, neighbors, friends, Callie's 6th grade class, teachers and whole ton of kids skipping school in our front yard for a shout out and police escort send off. There were about 100 people there and it was wonderful. Callie stood on the front porch speechless in awe of the people who were there to support her.
We loaded the Limo full of all our luggage and waved goodbye as everyone was cheering as we headed down the road. Callie felt like she was in a parade. Waving all the way down the road half hanging out the window waving and cheering with the crowd. The police escorted us to the freeway with sirens blaring and stopping traffic to get us on our way. We even went through red lights as the police held up traffic. We drank Shasta in the Limo and felt like the most important people in the world.
